Remember… back in those days, there was no electricity… no refrigerators… no law enforcement… and certainly no grocery store or supermarkets…

These guys were the last generation to practice basic things-for a living-that we call survival skills now. There’s no one more qualified in sharing real-life survival lessons than people who lived through times like these.

Click here to check out these 3 homesteading hacks.

It all started with an amazing discovery in an abandoned house in Austin, Texas… which left all the neighbors in shock and the police searching for answers.

A lost book, believed to have been long vanished to history has been found in a dusty drawer in the house which belonged to a guy Claude Davis.

Neighbors said that for the last couple of years Claude had tried to unearth and learn the forgotten ways of our great-grandparents and claimed to have found a secret of gargantuan proportions.  A secret that he is about to reveal together with 3 old teachings that will change everything you think you know about preparedness.

The Top 10 Most Luxurious Cars of Summer

2016 is fast becoming another fabulous year for the auto business. Sales are high. Gas prices are low. This summer is shaping up to be a great time to pick up your new luxury car. We hand picked an impressive collection of luxurious and performance car models that are sure to please, wherever summer make take you.

Photo: Rolls-Royce

10. Rolls-Royce Dawn

Posh.  We just like the way that sounds, here at Disruptive Entrepreneur.  Rolls-Royce calls the Dawn model the most sensuous car they have ever built.  And we agree. This is luxury at it’s finest.  It still is unmistakably a Rolls-Royce, but much more modern looking then their other models.  It’s got a 6.6-liter, twin-turbocharged V-12 engine with  563 hp and 575 ft lbs of torque at just 1,500 rpm.  Also, you can drop the top at 30 miles per hour.  That’s right, no stopping to put the top up.  It’s got suicide doors.  What? Yes, the doors hinge at the back and open toward the front.  What’s a luxury car without a great sound system?   The Bespoke Audio system has 16 speakers and a microphone that monitors the noise and automatically changes the system’s volume and tone settings for the best sound quality.  Here’s one of the smartest things about this car — it’s got a satellite-aided 8-speed ZF transmission that uses GPS data to choose the best gear ratio for road conditions.

Just write a check for $339,850 and it’s all yours.  Come pick us up.

9.  Superformance Corvette Grand Sport

Okay, it’s not exactly the newest model, but it sure has the coolest story.  Zora Arkus-Duntov designed this car for General Motors in 1962 and the plan was to do a small production run of 125 cars.  However, Zora had much bigger dreams for the car.  He wanted to win the GT class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with this model.  Sadly, General Motors canceled the project just five cars into it and were planning on destroying the cars.  Luckily someone had the foresight to take the prototypes and hide them away before they were destroyed.  Now, Superformance (with the blessings of GM) got a hold of the original plans and some of the chassis molds, and built their own Grand Sport.  Fyi – Superformance is a company in Southern California that distributes race car replicas and continuation models from the 1960’s.   Now you can order your own Grand Sport with all sorts of luxury options.  How cool is that?

8.  Audi R8 V10 Plus

This is a fast car. Real fast.  Zero-to-60-mph in 3.2 seconds will leave your friends in the dust.  A top speed of 205 mph will make sure they stay there.  Audi outdid itself with this 5.2-liter engine that delivers 610 hp and a 413 ft lbs of torque. It’s surely the quickest car they’ve ever built.  Over the years, the company improved this car bit by bit, but this year they came out with a second generation model.  It’s got Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive, so it handles like a dream in snow and ice and looks pretty slick to boot.

It’s got a slick price tag too.  $189,900 and it’s all yours.

BMW750lixdrive

7. BMW 750i xDrive

BMW calls it’s 7 Series the ultimate luxury sedans.  It goes without saying that these rides are posh.  However, I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk talk tech here.  This car is one SMART car.  First, if you don’t like parking, this car is for you.  It parks itself and you don’t even have to be in it.  Then, it’s got an infotainment system that responds when you wave your hand.  Yes, it’s the world’s first gesture control in a car.  Don’t want to answer the phone?  Wave your hand and reject the call. You don’t even have to touch anything.  Give it the finger and it hangs up on the caller. (Note: my editor said I needed to tell you that the part about flipping it the bird isn’t exactly correct.  Rather, a simple wave of the hand and the call hangs up is correct.  BMW really should hire me to help them with their smart designs, because if you’re going to have gesture control, it should reflect the gesture you’re giving it, right?) That aside, this sedan is serious business.  It’s V8 with 445 Hp and all-wheel drive is nothing to laugh about.  It’ll peel out from zero to 60 in 4 seconds.

Pay a mere $81,300 and you could find this car parking itself in your driveway.

JagXJR LWB Photo: Jaguar

6.   Jaguar XJR LWB

Luxurious opulence.  That’s something we could get used to.  Especially when driving one of these kittens.  Once behind the wheel, you  feel like you’re driving a designer performance cloud around town. That’s because of the wheel base.  It’s long. Jaguar did this for ultimate comfort and space.  But don’t be fooled by the luxury, besides being super posh, this kitty can purr on the road.  Endowed with a 550 horsepower supercharged V8 with 502 ft-lbs of torque, the Jaguar XJR XWB has plenty of power.

Pricing starts at $119,000.  Meow.

5.  Lexus LS 600h L

Going green has never been so luxurious.  Lexus is making it oh-so-easy to have both a hybrid and a luxury vehicle with this new model.  This posh and powerful car equipped with a 435 horsepower engine makes it fun to be eco-friendly. Of course, it has all the bells and whistles, looks amazing and is super quiet.

You too can save the world in luxury for a mere $120,440.

Acura_NSX Photo: Acura

4.   Acura NSX

This coupe will surprise you.  Not only is it super sexy, it’s fast too.  It can go zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of  191 miles per hour.  It’s got a 9-speed dual clutch automatic.  The hybrid system has a twin turbo-charged V-6 and three electric motors that give you a whopping 573 horsepower.  This is one sleek supercar.  Priced well below others in it’s class, it’s sure to be a winner.

$156,000 and it’s yours.

——————————Advertisement—————————-

Porsche Panamera Turbo Photo: Porsche

3. Porsche Panamera Turbo S

This is not your average four door, all-wheel drive, luxury sedan.  It’s one of the fastest high performance sedans ever built with a top speed of 192 mile per hour.   The twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engine gives it 570 horsepower and 590 ft-lbs of torque in overboost.  It’s got a seven speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

The basic package starts $180,300

2.   Bentley Bentayga

Now you can go off-roading in your Bentley. Yes, that’s right.  You too can 4-wheel in the epicenter of luxury.  It may be rough outside, but inside this car you will feel like you’re in your own personal palace with wood veneers that were hand laid, lambswool rugs and quilted leather. You can even get a Breitling self-winding tourbillon mounted on the dash.  Bentley didn’t skip on performance either.  This castle can go zero to 60 miles per hour in four seconds.  It’s got a top speed of 187 miles per hour powered by a 6-liter, twin turbocharged W-12 engine with 600 horsepower and 663 ft libs of torque.  Now  you can go even faster on those off-road expeditions.

$229,100 and it’s yours.  Pay a little more and get the Breitling dash-mount.  Luxury, baby.  Luxury.

1. Tesla Model S

Oh yeah!  It is so wonderful to be green with this high performance electric car.  The Tesla Model S is clearly the most disruptive car of the bunch and it also packs a punch.  The 691 horse powered engine will rocket from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and is able to do a quarter mile at 114.6 mph.  The tech is impressive as well.   This car will greet you at the door when you’re ready to leave the house.  No, kidding.  It will bring itself out of the garage on it’s own.

Priced at  $105,000 for the base model.    Now, if we could just get it to fetch the paper……

The Ultimate Guide to the Internet of Everything [List] http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/nine-ways-the-internet-of-everything-will-change-your-life/ Mon, 16 May 2016 17:04:28 +0000 http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/?p=461

What started as a new medium called the Internet has shifted to a revolution that includes the Internet of Things, the world of eCommerce, video and a lot more. In a nutshell, every part of our lives is getting simpler – and better. That revolution is called the Internet Of Everything (IoE). But what does it aim to solve?

Internet of Everything

As humans, we always felt the need to be more connected. Although it is a digitalized medium, the Internet has let us solve that problem and engage in a new way of working, entertaining, shopping or just engaging with the community and sharing new ideas.

The Internet of Everything is a big puzzle with so many pieces in it – each of which disrupting the traditional mechanisms and industries as we speak. It is basically a new technology that changes how we use our devices, how we buy products and how we offer our services in the digital space.

Technically, the Internet of Everything as a new revolution, has had a major influence on retail, lighting, farming, dynamic pricing, transportation, healthcare, banking and insurance as well as forests. IT has changed each industry and gave it a new meaning, digitalizing it and aiming to solve problems, whether you’re shopping for educational loans or auto insurance to new clothes to conference calling services to the food you eat and even finding the best culinary schools in California.

Here are nine ways the Internet of Everything (IoE) has pitched a new revolution and started changing the world and its traditional scope:

1.  Advanced Retail Mechanisms

Retail

Shopping stores are now able to use sensors that monitors how your eye gazes on every product you pick and consider it for purchase. Capturing our emotions and feelings with certain products, the IoE gains information from everything we buy.

2. City Traffic In A Digitalized Way

traffic

The clapping to turn the lights on is not anymore an innovation – but a history. The Internet of Everything automates street lights and house lights and connects them with our needs and wants. Simply put, a light can now switch on and off on itself – articulated by your (unspoken) needs.

3. House And Street Lights As We Don’t Know Them

vintage lamp post against blue sky background
House and street lights will turn themselves on when you as a house owner are nearby.

4. A Better Agriculture

Oat field at sunset

You should say hello to advanced farmers and agriculture improved so much, giving each farmer information on the current humidity, temperature and the ideal time for harvesting the best crops. Everything in order to get the best food possible.

5. The Birth Of Dynamic Pricing

Price target

This phenomenon makes supply and demand the main two factors that determine pricing, driven by the shopping trends and popularity of each product.

6. An Innovated Healthcare System

Happy sporty woman using smart watch outdoors

Through the use of wearable technology, healthy can be improved. Technology has just started to scratch the surface of possibilities and the use of advanced sensors and trackers will guide us to a bloodless future of tests on the entire body.

7. A New Prism Of Banking & Insurance

healthy young woman stretching before Fitness and Exercise

The insurance and banking rates have always been a tough pill to swallow and define. The Internet of Everything, however, anchors their estimate to your fitness and dietary habits. In other words, if you exercise diligently and have a stable life, you are more prone and likely to repay your student consolidation loans, your mortgage and insurance.

8. A New Look On The Woods

In the forest of Darss, Germany

Forestry will also get updated. Every tree will get a sensor and be managed digitally to fit and manage issues connected to climate change. In a nutshell, the environment is one of the greatest focuses of the IoE.

9. Self-Driving Cars Will Reduce Traffic

cars
Google has started testing the self-driving cars and how would they ideally fit in the hectic traffic environment. They are meant to take care of services for which there is no need of a driver – and revolutionize traffic while reducing the number of cars on the streets. Stand by for what it does to your auto insurance rates. Can a self-driving car get a ticket?

The Bottom Line

Internet
The bottom line of the Internet of Everything is that it aims to make everything more efficient. It is an entire industry that puts the human and environment in the focus and lets us simplify our lives. The Internet of Everything will be the main industry in years from now, mostly because of the better systems, decision-making and value that it leverages without any compromise.
In the end, digitalizing every process is the core of IoE. With collecting and analyzing data, this industry is bound to increase the efficiency in every industry and shape a new user-centric model to develop it even further.

5.  Forest by forestapp.cc

Alone tree in the uncultivated field

Using your phone and tablet to relax can be great, but there comes a point when it’s best to take a break from technology all together, and spend some time in the real world, free from distractions. Take a walk, cook a meal, or spend some time with family or friends, without compulsively checking your devices. Forest is a sweet and simple app that rewards you for spending some time away from your phone or tablet.

It’s easy – next time you want to take a short hiatus from the world of technology, just open up Forest, and plant a virtual tree. You’ll set a timer (from 10 to 120 minutes), and this is how long it will take for your tree to become fully grown. If you give up and use your device, or navigate away from the app, your poor little tree will die.

Fully grown trees will live in your personal forest, and you can add notes to each. Try setting yourself a goal of planting one tree a day, and spending that time on activities which help you to de-stress and minimize anxiety. Over time, you’ll earn points, and unlock different styles of tree, making your forest even prettier. This is a great visual representation of the time you’re dedicating to taking care of yourself, and reducing your stress and anxiety.

Why It’s Disruptive

Five years ago, kava was something we heard about but never really knew much. Today New York and Florida have more kava bars than Hawaii and its growing quickly. This fast growth of kava bars is deemed to be disruptive to the alcoholic business because of several reasons;

First of all kava is legal for any age and even high school kids can drink it. It’s also really cool that it’s non-addictive and has no hangover meaning even parents have no problem with it. The price of kava and the fact that one only needs a maximum of two drinks is also a big plus and what can we say about the fact that you can still drive safely after that, so yes, kava is disrupting the alcohol business.

5 Sci-Fi Products That Will Blow Your Mind http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/5-sci-fi-products-coming-to-market-by-2020/ Thu, 12 May 2016 22:50:00 +0000 http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/?p=323

By definition, science fiction features tends to feature machines and technology that most would call impossible.  But some intrepid inventors view that as more of a challenge.   In time, we might see products like these five in stores — even if they sound like they belong in Star Trek.   Take a peek at the 5 most intriguing  Sci-Fi Products the future holds.

1. Galactica, the Virtual Reality Roller Coaster

Galactica Rollercoaster
Various companies have eyed products like the Oculus Rift for a while, in the hopes of spearheading the next big thing in video games.  But others want to take the technology to dizzying heights — very literally, in the UK’s case.

This April, the Galactica will launch at the Alton Towers amusement park.  Passengers strap on headsets, and then ride a track while lying down.  As such, the coaster can simulate the feeling of space flight; between the headset display and the AI guiding them, riders will come as close as it gets to the feeling of blasting off.  Notably, the Galactica’s coaster can reach up to 3.5 Gs, which is higher than what real astronauts feel at blast-off.  Hopefully, the sheer speed won’t make anyone lose their lunch.

2. MoonWalker, the Anti-Gravity Boots

moonwalker

Kids have been able to play with bouncy shoes for a good while, but it’s a safe bet that none of them made it over their neighbors’ fence, let alone to the moon.  The new MoonWalker boots won’t make that happen, either, though the tradeoff is that their bounciness is a step above.

The boots — created by Moonshine Crea, and fully crowdfunded — make use of rare-earth magnets to create repelling forces.  As a result, it’s possible to recreate the effect of walking on the moon or other low-gravity settings — or if not that, then it’s the equivalent of wearing built-in pogo sticks.  Moonshine Crea plans to show off more footage in the months to come, and ultimately launch the boots this August.

3. Alchite Dressing, the Crabby Healing Bandages

crabbybandage

Usually, people would expect crabs to be good for two things: seafood and pinching.  But as it turns out, they have uses in the medical field.  That’s technically been true for ages, since crab shells were a key feature in Chinese medicines, but now the formula might start seeing extended use.

Crab shells contain a mineral called chitosan, which became a key ingredient in a new type of bandages.  The University of Bolton’s technology team tapped that mineral to create alchite dressing, which in turn has been refined into bandages and casting with two key advantages: they pull away huge amounts of fluid, and their antimicrobial features speed up the healing process.  With a commercially-ready product in their midst, the plan is to have a full release later this year.

4. FFZERO1, the Concept Car to Revolutionize Concept Cars

FFZERO

On its own, Faraday Future’s FFZERO1 is a symbol of what concept cars can offer — a sleek machine that can hit sixty miles in three seconds, and whose four motors can generate 1000 horsepower.  Plus, it has a built-in smartphone, and the proposed ability to drive itself at an owner’s command.  The twist is that the FFZERO1 is only a taste of what could come, not a coming attraction.

In actuality, the FFZERO1 is a way for Faraday to push its new “variable platform architecture” for creating new cars.  Ideally, the vehicles produced by the startup — including the FFZERO1 as an example — will revolve around the same skeleton, and have the necessary parts built around it to dramatically speed up production and efficiency.  With a new factory set for construction in Nevada this month, it could guarantee concept cars like the FFZERO1 becoming a reality.

5. Hendo, the Hoverboard That Actually Hovers

hendo hover

Hoverboards have gained traction recently, though the majority of market offerings aren’t exactly worthy of Back to the Future’s lofty portrayal.  Luckily, alternatives do exist; the Hendo Hover not only lets its rider float off the ground, but has already seen distribution via Kickstarter.

As a product of Arx Pax, the Hendo floats via magnetic fields that create currents atop surfaces.  The interaction of the fields and currents generates a pushing effect, which in turn lifts the rider off the ground.  It’s a step forward for the technology, but Arx Pax wants to take it a step further by implementing hover technology to replace wheels and rails entirely.  If they succeed, we’ll really see science fiction come to life.

Truck Convoy Drives Itself Across Europe http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/truck-convoy-drives-itself-across-europe/ Thu, 12 May 2016 14:32:05 +0000 http://disruptiveentrepreneur.com/?p=295

Breaker 1-9, we got ourselves an autonomous convoy…

A fleet (around twelve) of semi trucks recently crossed Europe utilizing autonomous driving modes – the first time ever on the mainland. It’s all a part of the European Truck Platooning Challenge, an intricate occasion sorted out by the Dutch government that would like to bind together the car business and commercial trucking.

“Platooning,” or the demonstration of autonomous vehicles taking after each other, convoying affects proficiency: it’s less expensive than driving on cruise control, and as indicated by Quartz’s reporting of a TNO study, it can likewise “lessen fuel use by up to 15%, keep human error from causing accidents and reduce congestion.”

Around twelve trucks from significant makers like Volvo and Daimler simply finished a week of to a great extent self-sufficient driving crosswise over Europe, the main such real practice on the landmass.

The trucks set off from their bases in three European nations and finished their adventures in Rotterdam in the Netherlands on April 6.  One arrangement of trucks, made by the Volkswagen backup Scania, voyaged more than 2,000 km and crossed four fringes to arrive.

The trucks were participating in the European Truck Platooning Challenge, sorted out by the Dutch government as one of the huge occasions for its 2016 administration of the European Union. While self-driving autos from Google or Ford get the greater part of the credit for catching the general population creative ability, business utilizes for independent or about self-governing vehicles, similar to tractors from John Deere, have been discreetly giving the idea something to do in a business setting.

At the point when trucks self-rulingly tail each other, it’s called “platooning.” They’re associated by wifi and can leave a much littler hole between vehicles than when people are in the driver’s seat. Platooning can decrease fuel use by up to 15%, keep human mistake from bringing on mischances, and lessen clog, as indicated by a study by examination firm TNO. It likewise can decrease costs. Two trucks timing 100,000 miles every year can spare €6,000 on fuel by platooning, contrasted with driving on voyage control, as per TNO.

That is the reason the Dutch set up the involved truck-driving occasion, to pull together everybody with a stake in making them drive trucks out and about. That incorporates transportation authorities, truck creators, officials of organizations with critical logistics needs (counting Unilever and DHL), and scholastics and scientists.

“We now have tremendous vitality in the system and the thought is that we will go to genuine cases. Organizations like Unilever are wanting to begin these cases in 2017,” says Dirk-Jan de Bruijn, the platooning test’s system chief.

In the event that all goes to arrange, self-driving trucks will get merchandise from the port of Rotterdam and convey them crosswise over Europe in a trial by Unilever and different organizations.

Be that as it may, the guards should first effectively explore Europe’s organizations. Bruijn’s next objective is to get everybody to approve a guide for the following five years. This would address the specialized issues, for example, the failure for trucks from various brands to detachment together (they all utilization distinctive wifi frameworks); and additionally administrative issues, such as requiring platooning trucks to meet diverse guidelines in every European nation.

“The test is obviously not an end point, but rather a beginning stage. It’s another commencement,” Bruijn said.

If all goes to plan, self-driving trucks will pick up goods from the port of Rotterdam and deliver them across Europe in a trial by Unilever and other companies.

“As the test shows, the technology has come a long way already,” said Dutch Infrastructure and Environment Minister Schultz van Hagen. “What it also makes clear is that we Europeans need to better harmonise rules of the road and rules for drivers. This will open the door for upscaled, cross-border truck platooning.”

The trucks are linked via Wi-Fi, which allows them to brake faster than a human driver could. The responsiveness of each truck within the platoon is estimated at 25 times faster than the average human reaction time of one second – saving critical time in case of emergency braking.
